soy candles: soy wax is made from environmentally friendly, renewable resources and burns slow; therefore, you get a candle that lasts longer. while all candles emit some black soot while burning, candles made from soy wax burns cleaner and results in less soot.
care: the secret is to trim your wick to 1/4" before burning and limit the burning session to the suggested three hours at a time. when the wick is burned for extensive periods the carbon will build up. a mushrooming wick can be unsightly and contribute black soot accumulating on the glass. wick with a large bloom can cause a glass vessel to break. so, please kindly follow our advice and care for your candle properly.
